Hugh Boustead – The Wind of Morning – First Edition Signed

The memoirs of Colonel Sir Hugh Boustead, a British political and military figure whose career spanned a wide range of appointments in Russia, Sudan, the Himalayas, Africa, Yemen and other locations.

Boustead was also the British Political Agent in Abu Dhabi in the mid-1960s, the subject of the final chapter of the book.

Hardback. First edition, third impression, published in 1974 by Chatto and Windus. Signed and inscribed by the author to the title page. Another inscription shows a separate previous owner’s name, dated 1980. In very good condition, minor edgewear to jacket and some spotting to flaps.
